Ms. Hunter, a biologist with a specialization in plants, has logged hundreds of hours in the field – primarily in the foothills and Sierra Nevada – since joining EN2/SEA in early 2016. She is experienced in using dichotomous keys for plant identification and in the collection of data using Ground Penetrating Radar (GPR), and electrical conductivity testing for subsurface stratigraphic analysis. Her laboratory experience includes using infrared spectroscopy, gas and column chromatography, and mass spectroscopy, and also includes water quality testing, bacterial culturing and staining, polymerase chain reaction (pcr) and the use of a microscope. Ms. Hunter regularly compiles and presents primary data from field sites, researches and synthesizes academic literature, and contributes to a wide-range of grant applications, environmental compliance documents and permitting applications including CEQA documents, wetland delineations, Section 401 and 404 applications, and Lake and Streambed Alterations Agreement applications.
