HIGHWAY 50 OPERATION IMPROVEMENTS PROJECT

EN2/SEA was retained by Mitchell Engineering to fulfill the environmental compliance services for this major highway reconstruction project through the City of Placerville. The Caltrans project consisted of the widening of Highway 50 in an effort to reduce congestion in the City of Placerville, construction of a new bridge over Hangtown Creek, widening of existing City bridges and streets, bridge replacement, adjustment to concrete barrier rail, signs, traffic signals, and highway lighting, and the relocation of City of Placerville public utilities. EN2/SEA performed environmental briefing and compliance monitoring, prepared special-status species surveys, and conducted water quality sampling, fish relocations, and stream zone monitoring and compliance reporting for the issued permits.
